An in-depth Language Justice training and technical assistance program for an organization’s staff, or the leadership of multiple allied organizations. Customized to fit based on organizational size, needs, and budget.

  • Language Justice Institute

  • Targeted Technical Assistance Workshops

  • A workshop for organizations ready to take the next step in their Language Justice journey including crafting a LJ vision for your organization and getting organizational buy-in.

  • A workshop on how to get funding for Language Justice efforts, whether it’s requesting funds from senior leadership at your organization or seeking outside grant funding. 

  • Successful multilingual events require intentional planning, beginning with the agenda design and outreach plan. Learn what it takes to successfully host a multilingual event from start to finish.

  • This workshop is for people managing interpretation headsets for the first time or looking for ways to keep their investment well organized and in good condition.

    • Interpretation: In this workshop participants will learn how to integrate interpretation into their organization’s processes and workflows - from sample timelines and workflows to strategies for working with interpreters.

    • Translation: Learn how to incorporate translation into your organization’s processes, establishing workflows to ensure effective written communication, whether your translation team is in-house or an outside vendor.Item description

  • A workshop on the foundational resources needed to optimize multilingual communications in your organization. Learn the steps to creating glossaries & style guides to ensure clarity and uniformity across your multilingual messaging.

  • Learn how to plan for and organize multilingual websites and other digital communications—we’ll dive into considering your audience's needs, your organization’s capacity, and how to get creative when you can’t translate everything. 

  • It can be a challenge to find and retain enough skilled language workers for different multilingual needs. This workshop covers the basics on how to find language justice workers and how to vet and prepare them for success. The workshop also covers options for group management, assignment workflows, and evaluation.

We believe that Language Justice requires investment and prioritization from organizations and that this labor is work worthy of compensation. And we offer sliding scale options because we want to make this resource accessible to small, grassroots and underfunded groups. Organizations paying at the higher tiers allow us to continue offering our support to groups to whom this would otherwise be inaccessible. Thank you for your suppport.
